Der Dynamics Light User ist die neue Bezeichnung für den “Dynamics Client for Office (DCO)” und soll durch die neue Namensgebung den Zusatznutzen für die Kunden besser darstellen. Zusätzlich zum neuen Namen wurde ein Waterfall-Preismodell für den Dynamics Light User eingeführt und die Lizenz von den Sharepoint Server Lizenzen entkoppelt. Um weitere Implementierungsszenarien zu ermöglichen sind außerdem neue Lizenzen für Employee Self Service (ESS) User und für Limited Device CALs verfügbar. Wie ich bereits mal berichtet habe, hat Claus vor längerem einen Post darüber geschrieben unter welchen Umständen man Visual Studio 2010 bereits mit NAV 2009 SP1 einsetzen kann. Gerade aber diese Umstände machen es nicht all zu oft möglich 2010 bereits zu verwenden. Aus diesen Zweck greifen viele noch immer auf die Version 2008 zu. Weil ich bereits mehrfach in Workshops angesprochen wurde findet man auf  der Visual Studio Express Website von Microsoft “nur” noch die aktuellste Version. Since NAV 2009 Service Pack 1 it is possible to use External Assemblies in NAV 2009 reports. This is a feature of Reporting Servicesand this feature was activated with Service Pack 1.
